Calma Calma 04:05
I met a man who told me how to measure All the precious treasure we enjoy Each and every day Each and every day He told me "Hey, young fellow with the smart sombrero Running through the yellow, don't you ever forget Life's a holiday Celebrate It" And on the other side there's a fine magician Juggling, shuffling, yearning recognition Will it ever come? Will it ever come? Sometimes you throw just once and get the double sixes And other times you reach the end of the line (and) Throw it all away Throw it all away Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Calma, calma Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Calma, calma Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Calma, calma Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Calma, calma No matter how important or demanding All of these things are anchors on our ankles What've we become? What've we become? How many times I see me pass right by me Coming and going but where is it at? Come and have a look Come and have a look Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Calma, calma Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Calma, calma Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Calma, calma Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Calma, calma And every time I feel condescending Full of pride and arrogance, oh so trendy I shut my mouth and bite my tongue Instead I power up and grab a microphone I got my record player spinning Joy Division Turn my back to my big mother fucking television It shakes me up and sets me straight Crocodile Dundee is no longer my mate Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Calma, calma Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Calma, calma Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Calma, calma Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey Calma, calma

Everything gone I’m feeling the blank dimension That needs to be filled With the choice of life that appeals to me Singing a song About my conciliation With me in the past And the brand new man that I want to be I know that I can prove it again I know that I can groove it again I know that I can do it again I know it I know it I know it It’s all I need to know As I greet the dawn I’m waking tall and strong Yes, my heart’s at ease Having found the peace I’m cured from all the wrong I’m not alone In sharing this new direction As if I’m reborn I engage in this, which belongs to me Sensing the tone Of newly revealed vibrations Grateful and sound I’m burgeoning like an almond tree I know that I have found me again I know that I have caught me again I know that I have got me again I know it I know it I know it Can you feel my beat? Running down the street I’m flying like a kite By the almond trees Curving like the breeze I’m soaring fast and high Can you see me thrive? Getting back to life Set free from letting go Swimming in the stream Following my dream As I did once long ago

Hello quiet confidence, where have you been? I guess you couldn’t stick around, no you couldn’t stand the sin Old subconscious laughter, is he with you my friend? Have you been hanging out with happy beyond the rainbow’s end? I’m glad you came to visit, thanks for stopping by What’s that, you say you’re leaving because I’m getting high Why can’t you hang with Mary Jane, she’s really kind of fly? We used to be a trio until you left but why? You say you were her partner, you were her right hand man But Mary Jane destroyed you like only Mary can She made you lose your car keys, forget your master plan She burned away the world while you held it in your hand But what about the good times, the times she made us laugh? She’d help us feel music and dissipate our wrath Come on now my quiet confidence, Mary’s not all bad Some of the times I spent with Mary were the best I ever had I’m glad you came to visit, thanks for stopping by What’s that, you say you’re leaving because I’m getting high Why can’t you hang with Mary Jane, she’s really kind of fly? We used to be a trio until you left but why? I’m glad you came to visit, thanks for stopping by What’s that, you say you’re leaving because I’m getting high Why can’t you hang with Mary Jane, she’s really kind of fly? We used to be a trio until you left but why? Sure she makes me sleepy, but only when I’m tired I’d rather be irie, than continuously wired More mellow than the fiends I’ve seen society has sired The only reason most don’t burn is fear of getting fired You say when Mary’s with you everything is cool But when she starts to leave she leaves you feeling like a fool She smothers your ambition and slowly starts to rule Your every waking moment and you’re more than just a tool I’m glad you came to visit, thanks for stopping by What’s that, you say you’re leaving because I’m getting high Why can’t you hang with Mary Jane, she’s really kind of fly? We used to be a trio until you left but why? I’m glad you came to visit, thanks for stopping by What’s that, you say you’re leaving because I’m getting high Why can’t you hang with Mary Jane, she’s really kind of fly? We used to be a trio until you left but why? I’m glad you came to visit I’m glad you came to visit I’m glad you came to visit I’m glad you came to visit I’m glad you came to visit, thanks for stopping by What’s that, you say you’re leaving because I’m getting high Why can’t you hang with Mary Jane, she’s really kind of fly? We used to be a trio until you left but why?

Once in a lifetime is every day Once in a lifetime got to find a way To follow the sublime for there’s no better time to grab onto your dreams before they die Once in a lifetime Every morning the sun will rise But every morning do you realize The sky is endless and your dreams are too The only limits are inside of you Every evening the sun will fall But any evening will you heed the call? Your choice is endless, what will you choose? Create a life in which your limits lose! Once in a lifetime is every day Once in a lifetime got to find a way To follow the sublime for there’s no better time to grab onto your dreams before they die Once in a lifetime is every day Once in a lifetime got to find a way To follow the sublime for there’s no better time to grab onto your dreams before they die Once in a lifetime Every morning the sun will rise But every morning do you realize The sky is endless and your dreams are too The only limits are inside of you Every evening the stars will rise And every ending is a compromise Love is endless and if it fades away it will return on a brighter day Once in a lifetime is every day Once in a lifetime got to find a way To follow the sublime for there’s no better time to grab onto your dreams before they die Once in a lifetime is every day Once in a lifetime got to find a way To follow the sublime for there’s no better time to grab onto your dreams before they die Once in a lifetime

A younger version of me Who wasn’t completely free Invited me to see A choice I did not make And as I gazed intently Where this choice of mine had sent me I hungered for a way To bring me back that day So that I could choose again Because in this choice of mine I had left the light behind The light that made me blind To think that money matters And as I walked away The chains began to shatter But that was long ago So long ago as though I didn’t choose that choice Now I’m driving this Rolls Royce So accustomed to these chains I only feel them when it rains As the raindrops hit the pane So I hang my head in shame Oh, how wonder who’s insane Is it the beggar with his bane? Or the top hat with his cane If only I could choose again Because in this choice of mine I had left the light behind The light that made me blind To think that money matters And as I walked away These chains began to shatter

So many ideas come to mind But none of them jive at this time I wonder if I am not going mad And just 'cause I do I might be right It better be true when I open my eyes Next time around I don't wanna lose sight Of what I've just found This better be good 'cause I'm not in the mood I don't wanna hear "would, should or could" I've gone all in just to see it through I've come all out for a glimpse of you It better be true when I open my eyes Next time around I don't wanna lose sight Of what I've just found I wanna be, wanna be, wanna be bound In this moment alone Frozen in time, burning inside Don't let me go Oh no, oh no I'm ten feet tall in the dancing hall Never been more self assured Stepping on clouds I can dance all night This better be true or I'll lose my mind It better be true when I open my eyes Next time around I don't wanna lose sight Of what I've just found I wanna be, wanna be, wanna be bound In this moment alone Frozen in time, burning inside Don't let me go Oh no, oh no Oh no, oh no

On and On 03:46
Trembling from the moment Reaching for the red Amber orange miscreants To lead me where I’ve led Your soul was filled with laughter I saw it in your eyes My soul was filled with longing That couldn’t be denied I had to have an answer I had to know for sure If what you had to offer Could really be as pure As where your eyes were leading As where your lips would lead I stood upon the brink Of empty endless need On and on I wake up all alone And reach for the telephone To tell you there’s nothing wrong On and on I keep dreaming on Of stroking your hair again Pretending it’s just a game I thought of all the reasons Why I shouldn’t touch your lips And then I saw your face Your eyes, your breasts, your hips I knew that I had won When you didn’t pull away I knew that I had stolen And maybe now we would play Your words would win me over That subtle sexy voice With purple velvet texture Simply left me with no choice On and on I wake up all alone And reach for the telephone To tell you there’s nothing wrong On and on I keep dreaming on Of stroking your hair again Pretending it’s just a game On and on I wake up all alone And reach for the telephone To tell you there’s nothing wrong On and on I keep dreaming on Of stroking your hair again Pretending it’s just a game

You believe in magic You believe in dreams You don’t even know What fear means You bestow to people The eternal youth With your words And with your every move I can hear them whisper All in disbelief As if you’re from another time And place away from here I can see the madness Creeping up their eyes And the fear taking over Their sensors in their minds They got no melody They got no melody They got only dissonance They got only dissonance Look at all the people And their fancy shoes Gathering around this crazy fool Look at all the people Blinded by the light Paying tribute to their choice of vice You can see them dreaming You can see them yearn The life they always wish they had But never got their turn You can see the fire Growing in their eyes The anger feeding off the flames Now they want your life They got no melody They got no melody They got only dissonance They got only dissonance They got no melody They got no melody They got only dissonance They got only dissonance They got no melody They got no melody You believe in magic You believe in dreams You don’t even know What fear means You bestow to people The eternal youth With your words And with your every move I can hear them whisper All in disbelief As if you’re from another time And place away from here I can see the madness Creeping up their eyes And the fear taking over Their sensors in their minds They got no melody They got no melody They got only dissonance They got only dissonance They got no melody They got no melody They got only dissonance They got only dissonance They got no melody They got no melody They got no melody They got no melody

Digging deep into my bag of bullshit I realize I’m just a man An animal evolving faster Than evolution’s original plan Money makes, makes me happy Twenty dollars for a tan NASA bought, bought the moon And the moon men they all ran Next week we’ll lasso Mars Incorporate the stars Every night we all get wasted At hip new Martian bars We are so, so complex We even pay for sex It is easier than marriage To generation X It is time for you to make a decision Take a step back from your television Don’t just be another paranoid pigeon How many wars in the name of religion? The atheists’ greatest fear Is the possible power of prayer So I’ll pray for their souls And give them all a scare My favourite part of being Is the beauty that I’m seeing When I look at waves and trees Every envious evil flees Magic floats, floats in dreams And I can move the world The only thing that I need is An electronic girl So now I have, have to heave This final thought at you If in something you believe It just might make it true It is time for you to make a decision Take a step back from your television Don’t just be another paranoid pigeon How many wars in the name of religion? It is time for you to make a decision Take a step back from your television Don’t just be another paranoid pigeon How many wars in the name of religion?

You can ignore me but the more you do The more I’ll keep on getting up so it’s understood I’ve come a long way to tell the tale For this life is truly meant for living, and not for rent or sale The more I know the less I see How logic shakes hands with reason while they disagree Is this the path I chose or did it choose me? I feel blinded by the obvious, so please help me be Ordinary life - undisputed master of will Herd us down the hill, spin us like a ball Till we give in The more I see the more I wish There was more than what I care to see inside my dish I wake at night and I can’t fall asleep So I carry on sleepwalking as I drag my feet Ordinary life - undisputed master of will Herd us down the hill, spin us like a ball Till we give in Ordinary life - it knows how to keep us at bay Feed us just enough, spoil us just a bit And tuck us in bed

Hey What did I do so wrong today? How come it doesn’t feel right? And why do you smirk anyway? You You in the mirror I’m talking to you, can you see? I’m trying to make something clear Day after day I’ve been waiting for you To show me the way To give me a clue Day after day I’ve been watching you fade Walking away With your head in your hands You You in the mirror You’ve got to sail this boat ahead No matter what it takes Hey you You permanent dreamer Open your eyes and look at the sky It’s time to decipher the signs Day after day I’ve been waiting for you To show me the way To give me a clue Day after day I’ve been watching you fade Walking away With your head in your hands Day after day I’ve been waiting for you To show me the way To give me a clue Day after day I’ve been calling your name Begging you, please Come back to me Hey… You… You in the mirror Say What did I do so wrong today? How come it doesn’t feel right? And why do you smirk anyway? Day after day I’ve been waiting for you To show me the way To give me a clue Day after day I’ve been watching you fade Walking away With your head in your hands Day after day I’ve been waiting for you To show me the way To give me a clue Day after day I’ve been calling your name Begging you, please Come back to me You You in the mirror You You in the mirror

When I was a little boy I thought the sky was blue There was nothing that I couldn’t do When I was a young adult I thought I knew it all Had the whole world in my crystal ball Never felt the fear of today Never thought I’d live to see the day My face in the mirror Distorted in disbelief The eyes of a killer Staring back at me My face in the mirror Distorted in disbelief The eyes of a killer Staring back at me I have come to realize Nothing is as it seems All my idols have betrayed my dreams Never felt so empty and blasé Never thought I’d live to see the day My face in the mirror Distorted in disbelief The eyes of a killer Staring back at me My face in the mirror Distorted in disbelief The eyes of a killer Staring back at me Never felt the fear of today Never thought I’d live to see the day Never felt so empty and blasé Never thought it’d come to this charade My face in the mirror Distorted in disbelief The eyes of a killer Staring back at me

You can spend all your life Finding meaning on the ground You can simply close your eyes Start chasing dreams that do not count You can waste all you've got And end up stuck in a rut You can drift like a leaf Falling slowly to settle down Move on beyond You shouldn’t wander Keep on moving on Life's a wonder You can set yourself free With the power of your mind Best if you can realize What it is you need to find Lift your head up and breathe Let the wind be your guide Turn your eyes to the sea And feel the breeze, it'll let you fly Move on beyond You shouldn’t wander Keep on moving on Life's a wonder Move on beyond You shouldn’t wander Keep on moving on Life's a wonder Read on beyond These gloomy headlines Rise on above This sea of stillness

about

(Compilation featuring all singles from 2014 to 2018)

“Because You Never Know How Much Time You Have Left”

Prolific Bulgarian/Canadian artist Krassy Halatchev (Icicle) is back with a "Best Of’ compilation of his past five albums.
He reassures us he has 5 more in the pipeline and that we should look forward to a new release as early as March 2019.

Icicle has been producing music since before defecting from the repressive communist regime of Bulgaria, first with The Clouds, then with several other successful outfits before settling into his true passion solo project in 2013.

Abridgement is a collection of his most popular tracks as well as some personal favourites he feels strongly about. One track, Calma Calma, alone has already had over 7 million plays on SoundCloud.
If you aren’t already familiar with Icicle’s music, this is a perfect intro to the bouncy Rock/Pop/Funk/Soul/New Wave creations sampled here.
A musical adventure displaying the craft honed over years of dedication to his calling, Halatchev is not alone in this artistic endeavour. Main collaborators are Floridian poet Joel Jenkins (lyrics), Eric Willis (guitars) and Antonia Gueorguieva (lyrics), who also happens to be Krassy’s partner and acknowledged better half.
